Wynberg-Allen School hosted the 10th P.A Kidd Inter-School Swimming Competition for Boys on the 17th and 18th September, 2022.
Eight schools from Mussoorie, Dehradun and nearby areas participated in the competition which included The Asian School Dehradun, Pinegrove School Solan, Rashtriya Indian Military College Dehradun, Kasiga School Dehradun,Mount Litera ZeeSchool Roorkee ,Welham Boys School Dehradun, Shri Ram Centennial School Dehradun and the host Wynberg-Allen School,Mussoorie.
Wynberg-Allen School emerged champion in the P. A. Kidd Invitational Inter School Swimming competition for Boys for the year 2022. Ashvijay Singh and Ansh Gupta of Wynberg Allen School, Sumit Raijan of RIMC, Teejas Suri and Konsam Railem of SRCS, Anurag Soni of Kasiga School, Bhashwat Mitra of The Asian School and Dev Singhal of Welham Boy’s School were awarded the Promising Swimmer trophies.
The following swimmers were declared individual champions in their respective divisions; Kautilya Dave of Welham Boy’s School in the sub-junior division, Sambuddha De of Kasiga School in the junior division, Digvijay Singh Routela of Wynberg Allen School in the intermediate division and Sartaj Veer Ahuja also of Wynberg Allen School in the senior division. Sartaj Veer Ahuja of Wynberg-Allen School conquered a new peak by breaking a record in 200 m Individual Medley event.
Overall championship of the meet is awarded to Wynberg – Allen School with 470 points. The first runners up trophy was awarded to Welham Boy’s School with 249 points. The second runners up position went to RIMC, Dehradun. Headmaster Senior School, Mr Pradipt Radcliffe gave away the trophies to the swimmers. Principal Wynberg-Allen School, Mr Leslie Tindale thanked all the participating schools for their enthusiastic participation. He also thanked all officials, especially swimming Coach Mr. Samander Singh for organizing the meet. Present on the occasion were the swimming coaches of various schools whose hard work and dedication made this competition a success included Mrs. Suman Singh, Mr Raj kumar Malik, Mr Ravinder Pawar, Mr. Munish Kumar, Mr. Piyush Kamboj, Mr. Ramlal, Mr. Ankur Chauhan, Mr. Ravi Chaudhary and Mr Lalit Singh.
